Who would have guessed that a chance meeting during a cheery March 2002 happy hour at Willy's Oyster Bar & Grill would have led to us walking down the aisle?
Actually, half of Felicia's friends guessed that she'd meet the man of her dreams at happy hour... but really... who knew.
For those of you who don't already know, we were engaged on Friday, February 13, 2004 on the Observatory Deck of the Empire State Building in New York City. Felicia's first words after being proposed to? "Sweet Jesus! It's huge!" Yes, she was talking about the ring (sorry Brandon).
And many of you may not know this, but the fateful trip almost never happened. We missed our first flight to New York. Why you ask? Because we were drinking at the airport bar and didn't hear the boarding call for our flight... but not to worry, we hopped on another flight just two hours later.
Has anyone noticed the connection between the major events in our lives and bars??? (just checking)
But anyway! It's been a long road getting to this day and we are so excited to be able to share it with all of our closest friends and family. This website was created to not only give you guys a more convenient way to learn about and stay in-the-know for our big day, but also to allow friends and family who can't join us here in Columbia a chance to see the event unfold.
